My very first TATTOO!

It all started on Valentine's Day. I got a present from Henrik: a voucher for a tattoo at the  Transilvania Art Tattoo.
First I must say that Henrik really is the best when it's comes to originality. Thank's babe!!!

I had in mined a Hamsa tattoo with Shira's name or something that reminds her name.
But somehow that idea wasn't feeling right... and I got more and more confused and insure about it.

And then, one day I saw it! It was a tattoo with infinity symbol combined with a heart. It was simple, beautiful and exactly how I feel about Shira.

So I finally got enought courage made a phone call to the studio and got the time:

I was really exited to do it! I had no fear or second thoughts, Just a huge anticipation!

The day has come!
First he drew my tattoo, then I confirmed it and we were good to go.

In the beginning Shira held my hand. It was really sweet and comforting. Kind of a reminder for what I do this.

I was tattooed by a guy that came from Transylvania, Romania. It is always good to hear stories about Count Dracula, when you are being tattooed. It's keeping your minds of the pain :-P

After an hour - it was done!

There is no way back
To my Shira - an infinity of love

Happy birthday Henrik!

Week after Midsommar we came back to Jonstorp for Jonstorp's traditional market and to celebrate Henrik's B'Day.
First we went to the market - it was more like a fair - lots of stands of cloths, shoes, accessory, food and fun activities for children

One of the market stands was a stand for swedish clogs. And then I saw them: sparkle red. exactly what I was looking for, for two years! I was so excited that I took a few photos when we got back home.

Beautiful right?

Back to the house

We had coffee with special strawberry whipped cream cake that my mother in law baked for Henrik. It was delicious!!!

We had dinner outside and Shira was playing in the garden. I was so happy to watch her. And she was so happy and satisfied

This doll stroller is with in the family for more than 30 years! Love vintage stuff!

Nice and cozy

Meanwhile on the house roof...

The day after - breakfast outside

After breakfast - playing in the garden

While Shira took her nap, we tried to sunbathe...

After nap time, playing in the garden with her cousins

Four beautiful girls laying on the grass
On the way back home - "Dear diary" moment

Midsommar

Midsommar is a holiday you usually celebrates with your family or very good friends.
This time we went to Henrik's parents and celebrated with the whole family.
The weather wasn't that great but the company was amazing as always. I love my husband family.

Thank god she fell asleep on the way to Jonstorp.

 I love this house

The garden
We kept her amused by the "house pets" like: the family cat and dog, spiders and snails   :-)

Despite the rain, we were outside eating, drinking and Shira was drawing on the ground

At the evening we celebrated the holiday with traditional food and drinks like soused herring and lax, eggs, sour cream, beer, home made snaps and the traditional strawberries whipped cream cake.

And then it was night... My father in law took out the guitar and we sang midsommar's songs.

DIY - Renovating chairs

Remember my post on the chairs that I bought from ReFurn?
Well, this week was a very tense week. I was waiting for some news - and the tension was everywhere...
So instead of give in to it, I took the time renovating the chairs and kept myself busy :-)

Fabric (not in the picture), basic paint,  "final" color paint, wood spackle, sandpapers, brushes and lots of time....

This how it looked before I started fixing the chair's legs
Scrubbed off (a bit) the paint where its needed

Used my fingers to seal up the cracks

After few hours, time to scrub off gently the spackle
Basic color is the next step!
The next day, opened up with coffee and paint :-)

Painting the chairs with the final paint - light Baby blue :-)
The end of the second day - all chairs were painted with one layer
After the second layer - the final step: replacing the upholstery's old fabric

My fabric!!! Gorgeous right???

That is it!
Before and after

Many many thanks to my supporting Henrik - Love you babe!!!
